SCA Archaeological Sites Database

The Archaeological site database was created to have all tabular data of the archaeological sites in one central storage and facilitate linking data to the GIS system as well as to other databases, e.g. photos, Quarryscapes, etc.

Data in DB can be found in two formats: descriptive text (e.g. archaeological description, threat data, etc.) and predefined lists for important and distinctive data (archaeological types, dating, legal status, etc).

The distinctive data is considered important criteria to be used in searching for data in database. Search results are displayed in report format and there are (a) single data reports (archaeological data, legal data, system data or mission data) and (b) ‘cahier’ reports, which is a report that includes all data for the site and is the starting point for the creation of a governorate atlas (see publications).
